When will Justin Herbert (Oregon QB) be drafted?
• O/U 5.5 (over -240/under+165)
Pick : Under 5.5 (+165)
I love getting this play at plus money. The Dolphins hold the fifth pick and they will be on the market for a quarterback. Some models project Miami trading up to select their guy, but I don't honestly see that panning out. Either way, this play will come down to whether the Dolphins pick Herbert or Tua Tagovailoa. I believe that they will take Herbert due to the unknowns surrounding Tagovailoa and how effective he can be returning from an injury despite the good reports from doctors.
When will Isaiah Simmons (Clemson LB) be drafted?
• O/U 6.5 (over -140/under+100)
Pick : Over 6.5 (-140)
I'm somewhat on the fence about this pick, although I certainly believe Simmons will one of the first defensive players taken off the board. He's officially listed as a linebacker, but he brings a certain kind of versatility that is rare. Simmons took snaps at linebacker, defensive end, cornerback and safety during his college career. That is something that should catch teams' eyes and I don't see how there's any possibility that he's still available by the seventh pick.
When will CeeDee Lamb (Oklahoma WR) be drafted?
• O/U 12.5 (over/under -120)
Pick : Under 12.5 (-120)
This play is not to take anything away from CeeDee Lamb as he is surely one of the best wideouts coming out. The problem is that there isn't a ton of teams that are dying for receivers and he's got some tough competition to be the first one at his position off the board. Alabama wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs are also drawing a lot of attention, and I believe that Lamb will slip down further into the round due to the competition versus lack fo demand. I expect him to fall 14th to Tampa Bay or 15th to Denver and the under is the most solid play here.
When will Jeff Okudah (Ohio State CB) be drafted?
• O/U 4.5 (over -105/under -135)
Pick : Under 4.5 (-135)
Although Jeff Okudah is one of the top defensive prospects and the best cornerback on the board, he's going to most likely fall due to how stacked the entire class is. The Redskins, Chargers and Giants are the only teams who would be in contention for him, and I don't see him landing with any of these teams. Washington will almost surely select Chase Young second, the Chargers may move to beef their offensive line or defensive front and the Giants will almost surely plug their offensive line. I have Okudah going sixth to the Lions to replace the departure of Darius Slay.
When will Jerry Jeudy (Alabama WR) be drafted?
• O/U 11.5 (over -160/under +120)
Pick : Under 11.5 (+120)
I originally projected Jerry Jeudy to be a top ten pick, but I have since moved him down my board. I believe that he will fall under the same circumstances that the aforementioned CeeDee Lamb will. He's another super-talented wideout who should see longevity in the league, but there's just not a ton of teams itching to take a receiver with a first-round pick. I believe that Jeudy could slip through the cracks and fall between 13th-15th to San Francisco, Tampa Bay or Denver as a nice secondary passing option.
When will Chase Young (Ohio State DE) be drafted?
• O/U 2.5 (over +350/under -600)
Pick Over 2.5 (+350)
Hear me out here. Yes, Chase Young should be Washington's selection with the second pick. However, the Redskins have a history of making bad decisions and I believe that this year will be no different. It honestly wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Washington throw a wrench in the equation by not taking Chase Young and looking to maybe dip into the golden pool of quarterbacks. I personally believe that Young will go either third to the Chargers or fourth to the Giants as the Redskins will once again have us scratching our heads with their pick.
When will Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama QB) be drafted?
• 2nd pick (+425)
• 3rd pick (+160)
• 4th pick (+1000)
• 5th pick (+150)
• 6th pick (+950)
• Field (any other pick) (+800)
Pick : Field (any other pick) (+800)
There's a lot of uncertainty of where Tua will land in the draft, but I believe he will slide down the board some due to the questions surrounding how well he will truly be coming off a tough injury. All doctors reports seem to indicate that he's good to go, but I believe that this may keep teams from selecting him too early in the draft. There's simply too much talent across the board to take a gamble. I believe that Tagovailoa will be taken seventh by the Panthers after teams above them pass on him.
When will Jalen Hurts (Oklahoma QB) be drafted?
• Round 1 (+800)
• Round 2 (+120)
• Round 3 (+110)
• Round 4-7 (+300)
Pick : Round 4-7 (+300)
Jalen Hurts may have had an outstanding season last year, but there's simply too much talent ahead of him at the quarterback position. I don't expect Hurts to be "NFL-ready" as he still struggles to read defenses and has yet to shake his problem with looking to run too quickly. I believe that he will be taken in the later rounds of this year's draft, most likely to a team such as Pittsburgh who has a veteran quarterback nearing the last few years of his career, who he could learn and grow from.
