2020 NFL Draft Sleepers: Cornerbacks

NFL Draft Sleepers - Cornerbacks

1)Jaylon Johnson, 5-11, 193, Utah. Draft Projection: 2

Comments: Johnson ran a 4.50 40 at the combine. Had 13 passes defensed last year and was a second-team All-American. Good athlete who had two interception returns for touchdowns at Utah. Can play inside or outside. Lack of elite speed will drop him to the second round, but he definitely has starter skills and has the tools to be very good.

2)Bryce Hall, 6-1, 202, Virginia. Draft Projection: 2-3

Comments: Hall is a big conrer who did not run at the combine due to an ankle injury. He's not a burner so expectations are that he'll be more effective in zone. Has long arms that help and good in run support. Very good ball skills. Also very good in track and basketball. Should be quality number two corner down the line.

3)Reggie Robinson, 6-1, 205, Tulsa. Draft Projection: 3-4

Comments: Another big corner who ran an impressive 4.44 40. Had 17 passes defensed at Tulsa in his senior season to lead the AAC. Has the length, the size and speed to be very good. Also strong football IQ. Is deaf in the left ear and should be a better tackler. But he has a big upside.

4)L'Jarius Sneed, 6-0, 192, Louisiana Tech. Draft Projection: 5-6

Comments: The first thing that sticks out about Sneed is his speed. He ran a ridiculous 4.37 40 at the combine. He also has a long frame and pretty good ball skills. Non-stop motor and in great condition. Can attack the ball at the highest point. Tackling can use some work and is not coming from a big-time football school.

5)Harrison Hand, 5-11, 197, Temple. Draft Projection: 5-6

Comments: Hand began his career at Baylor, where he was Honorable Mention All-Big 12 as a freshman. He left Baylor when Matt Rhule left. Ran a 4.52 40, which is average for a corner. Quality third corner and special teams player late in the draft. More effective in zone.
