2024 NFL Player Stats Props-Sacks
The NFL is less than three months away, but you can still make some cash on future betting. Let’s take a look at some running back stats for the 2024-25 season in terms of sacks.
(odds from Draft Kings)
Byron Murphy II, DT, Seattle Seahawks Over 4.75 +110
Murphy is a rookie from Texas, who is very quick for his size. He had 5 sacks and playing with better linemen, in passing situations, he should have a couple of more sacks.
Dallas Turner, LB, Minnesota Vikings, Over 7.75 +130
Turner is a 6-4, 245-pound rookie linebacker from Alabama, who had 10 sacks last season. He also ran a 4.46 40, so he’s big and fast. He’ll fit in well at Minnesota in pass rush situations.
DeForest Buckner, DT, Indianapolis Cots, Over 7.75 -110
Buckner is now 30, but at 6-7, 300+, he’s still in his prime and has been very consistent in the sack department. He’s averaged around 8 in his last six seasons and had a high of 12 in 2018. The addition of Laiatu Latu (6-5, 265) from UCLA and with Samson Ebukam getting pressure, it will be tough to double-team Buckner.
Chris Jones, DT, Kansas City Chiefs, Over 11.25 +105
Jones is a future Hall of Famer. Very few defensive tackles have gone double digits in sacks in three seasons. He’s done it in back-to-back years. Expect one more and he’s just 29.
Jadeveon Clowney, OLB, Carolina Panthers, Over 6.25 +110
The 31-year-old veteran broke out last season with 9.5 sacks as the Ravens just let him go. While the Panthers are not the Ravens defensively, D.J. Wonnum is more than capable of eight sacks. He recorded that twice in Minnesota. Clowney did have 9 sacks with the Browns in 14 games in 2021. Expect at least 7 with the Panthers.
Justin Madubuike, DT, Baltimore Ravens Over 9.25 +115
Madubuike plays end in a 3/4 defense, but is really a defensive tackle at 6-3, 305. He’s also very quick and last season, finally put it all together, recording 13 sacks. You can say it was a contract year, but he should now be consistently in that double digit range in sacks.
