ALTERNATE aTTaX Preview
ALTERNATE aTTaX features a German CS:GO lineup and has been one of the most prominent esports organizations in the country. Their current lineup si ranked 44th and is one of the favorites to win their group in the Eden Arena: Malta Vibes.
The team has a respectable map pool and can play on every map in the pool with the exception of Nuke. The team has a particularly strong Vertigo where they have 79% win-rate despite playing the map twenty four times in recent months.
With a 1.17 rating, Kressy is the top performer on the team. The young player has excellent aim and is often at the top of the team’s scoreboard. With 81.8 average damage per round, Kressy is important to the team’s chances at success. However, ALTERNATE aTTaX has a very strategic playstyle that allows certain players ( like kressy) to shine above the others.
Singularity Preview
Team Singularity recently underwent a roster change when they parted ways with their star player, Mertz. The team’s performance has been on a decline recently as they have lost matches to teams like Gambit Youngsters, forZe and SG.pro.
Singularity has a Danish CS:GO roster but the team’s map pool requires a lot of work. The team’s best map on paper is Overpass. However, they have a 55.6% win-rate on this map which does not raise confidence as the team plays against lower-ranked opponents.
With a 0.98 rating, Celrate has been a consistent presence for the team. However, Singularity is yet to announce its complete roster as they have not filled the void left behind after Mertz’s departure.
Pick: ALTERNATE aTTaX ML (-422 @ Pinnacle)
Singularity has an incomplete roster and will most likely use a stand-in for this tournament. The team’s performance in recent matches has been sub-par and the lack of preparation for this tournament is a big reason why I am going with ALTERNATE aTTaX to win this match.
