Betting the NBA Summer League
Betting the NBA Summer League
Looking to bet on basketball after the NBA is over? You can bet the WNBA and there are some pretty good props. I don’t advise betting on the games because you just don’t know what the gameplan is for each team. They may want to rest their star draft pick after they played a lot in the game before. Stuff like that happens all the time. Another way of betting is through prop bets.
For example, with Memphis playing against Oklahoma City on Tuesday, 7-4 center Zach Edey sat out the game after playing an overtime game on Monday, where he had 14 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in the Salt Lake City Summer League. Memphis plays on Wednesday night at 7pmET against Oklahoma City and is back in action on Friday against Sacramento and with three days’ rest, expected Edey to go full force.
Draft Kings has a few interesting prop bets involving Edey for Wednesday’s game against Oklahoma City.
He is -205 to score 10+ points and grab 10+ rebounds.
I’d take the +125 for him to score 15+ points and grab 10+ rebounds.
Of you can take a shot on him scoring 20+ points and 10+ rebounds. Scoring 20+ points is a very difficult task for a big man in summer leagues, because guards love to dominate the ball.
G.G. Jackson II shot just 6-of-20 on Monday and sat out Tuesday. The 19-year old 6-9 wing averaged 14.6 points points, but still needs to work on smoothing out his game.
I would take him to score 25+ points on Wednesday at +135
Miami, as usual, may have found a steal with an underachieving 7-0 center in Kel’el Ware, who had 26 points on Sunday against Sacramento after scoring 12 on Saturday against Golden State.
He is averaging 19 points and 8.5 rebounds in his first two games. Tonight, they are playing the Lakers at 7pmET.
You can go with Ware to get 15+ points and 10+ rebounds, which is a safe play (-115)
Take a chance that he gets 20+ points and 10+ rebounds against a very weak Lakers frontcourt (+180)
Not going to take a chance on a Bronny James bet, though this parlay is intriguing:
Bronny James 2+ Threes Made
Dalton Knecht 2+ Threes Made +290
I’d rather take a shot on:
Knecht 20+ points
Ware 20+ points at +400 since both are willing shooters.
