Cloud9 vs. Triumph, Preview & Prediction - Free 9/11 CS:GO

The group stage of the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America continues with a clash between Cloud9 and Triumph, two of three winless teams so far. Cloud9 is a massive favorite in this Best of 3 encounter, but their recent form is rather concerning and it’s not going to be easy despite a heavy favorite tag.

Cloud9 Team Stats and Latest Results

Cloud9 is in the worst form in the last three months, and although they are massive favorites in this game, it’s challenging to bet on them right now. They opened the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America with a 2-1 defeat to FURIA and then lost to Evil Geniuses, who destroyed them in straight maps. Cloud9 lost eight of the previous 13 matches.

Over the last three months, Cloud9 impressed on Inferno (75.0% win rate) and played very well on Overpass (66.7%), but failed to impress on Nuke (25.0%) and Vertigo (40.0%). Since June 2020, Cloud9 plays in the following lineup: Sonic (1.01 rating), JT (0.89), floppy (1.11), motm (1.00), and oSee (1.19). They played together on 48 maps and have a record of 25 wins and 23 losses.

Triumph Team Stats and Latest Results

Just like Cloud9, Triumph suffered a pair of defeats in the opening two matches at the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America. They lost to Gen. G and FURIA, but unlike their Friday’s rivals, they failed to win a single map in the process. Triumph is in an even worse form than Cloud9, as they lost six consecutive games, including once to Cloud9 along the way. They lost seven of the last ten games.

When it comes to the maps in the past three months, Triumph was dominant on Vertigo (75.0%), and displayed fine performances on Dust2 (66.7%) and Nuke (66.7%), but didn’t experience the best of times on Inferno (20.0%). Triumph has a brand new lineup that was assembled just a few days ago and played together on only four maps, suffering all four defeats. The current team members are ryann (0.72), moose (0.88), Shakezullah (0.94), junior (1.15), and penny (1.02).

Cloud9 vs. Triumph H2H Record

These rivals have faced only once before, and Cloud9 won that clash. It was played at the ESL One Cologne 2020 North America, and Cloud9 was better on Overpass and Inferno following Triumph’s win on Dust2.

Cloud9 vs. Triumph Betting Preview

I am not impressed with Clou9’s form at the moment, but luckily for them, Triumph is even worse right now and has a new lineup that still needs time to adapt and develop good chemistry. That is the biggest reason I am going with Cloud9 to win, otherwise, I would avoid betting on the winner in this encounter. Triumph managed to get a map in their only H2H duel, and that is the maximum they can get here. Feel free to back Cloud9.
