LCS Picks 7/24
It's Friday in North America and that can only mean one thing, the return of LCS action. I will normally use this time to complain about the horrid scheduling job of the LCS, but I will save that for another time. We only have three weeks left in the Summer Season, and it's starting to become clutch time for most teams. There is only two games on the slate today, but both of them should be good contests on paper. Let's take a look at the matches, shall we?

Evil Geniuses (-275) vs. Immortals (+190)
The first battle of the day will be between the fourth place 6-6 Evil Geniuses and the 3-9 Immortals that are tied for last place. It's been a bumpy ride thus far for Evil Geniuses, but the fact that they are only at .500 but sitting in a tie for fourth place is a testament to how even the playing field is in the LCS. Immortals hasn't been an outstanding team by any means, but they are still a very competitive team. Evil Geniuses has a veteran squad, and I expect them to take care of business in this opening contest under the wings of Mid Laner Jiizuke and Bot Laner Bang. It requires a little bit of juice, but I like Evil Geniuses to cover the spread in this one. They have a 3-0 record against Immortals all-time, and they are clearly the better team in this matchup.
Pick: Evil Geniuses Spread -5.5 Kills (-125)
Team Liquid (-185) vs. FlyQuest (+135)
The closing contest of the slate should be closer than the record of these two teams would imply as the 10-2 Team Liquid who is tied for first place will take on the 6-6 FlyQuest that is tied for fourth place. Team Liquid continues to tear through their opponents as they have won seven straight contests and are arguably the best team in the LCS. FlyQuest is one of the LCS blue-bloods and they've been a competitive team for a while, but this season hasn't been very kind to them. It's hard to ignore how great Team Liquid has been playing lately, and although I am a fan of FlyQuest, I don't think they are as good as they once were. Heads up, my play on this one requires a little bit of juice as well, but it should be with good reason. I like Team Liquid to take care of business and cover the spread in a win over FlyQuest.
