LEC Picks 7/24
Greetings gang! It's Friday, and that can only mean that the LEC is back in action. It's hard to believe that we are in Week 6 of the eight week regular season already, but time as well as the Summer Season is flying by. With the LEC being so evenly talented in the middle of the pack, each slate is usually good and this one is no different. Without further delay, let's dive right in.

SK Gaming (-170) vs. Excel Esports (+120)
This is an interesting contest to open the day as the 6-5 SK Gaming will take on the 4-7 Excel Esports. These teams have met once already this season, and Excel took that contest. It's worth noting that these two teams have split their two meetings in each of the last three seasons. Excel has been a very inconsistent team, and they have lost two straight contests. Meanwhile, SK Gaming has seemingly found their stride as they have won two in a row. I expect the trends to continue in this one as I like SK Gaming to avenge their loss earlier this season.
Pick: SK Gaming ML (-170)
Origen (-280) vs. Team Vitality (+195)
The second match of the day will see the 6-5 Origen do battle with the 4-7 Team Vitality. Much like the contest before this one, these two teams have been trending in opposite directions lately. Origen has won two straight win victories over G2 Esports and Misfits. Meanwhile, Vitality has dropped two in a row after matches with SK Gaming and Fnatic. Vitality's last victory came over Origen, but I believe Origen will repay the favor with a convincing win here.
Pick: Origen Spread -5.5 Kills (-115)
G2 Esports (-750) vs. FC Schalke 04 (+425)
I am not going to spend a ton of time talking about this contest between the disappointing 5-6 G2 Esports and the horrid 1-10 FC Schalke 04. G2 doesn't look nearly as good as they did during their outstanding Spring Season, and they have lost three straight. A meeting with FC Schalke 04 has come at a perfect time for a G2 team that needs a big win. Expect them to dominate this one with ease.
Pick: G2 Esports Spread -8.5 Kills (-115)
Rogue (-190) vs. Misfits Gaming (+135)
I honestly surprised that the 9-2 Rogue isn't laying more juice against the 5-6 Misfits Gaming. Rogue is currently tied for first place in the LEC with MAD Lions, and their only two losses so far this season have come to MAD Lions and G2 Esports. Misfits has hit a bump in the road after losing two straight to Fnatic and Origen. Rogue is clearly one of the best teams in the LEC, and I expect them to have little to no trouble with Misfits in this one.
Pick: Rogue Spread -4.5 Kills (-115)
MAD Lions (-180) vs. Fnatic (+130)
The closing contest of the day is an exciting one between the 9-2 MAD Lions team that is tied for first and the 6-5 Fnatic team that is tied for third. MAD Lions and Fnatic have been two of the tougher teams in the LEC for a while now, and both look to be playoff teams once again. Map control is something MAD Lions is really good at, and this is the reason they were able to beat Fnatic earlier this season. I do expect this one to somewhat come down to the wire, but I believe that MAD Lions will take care of business in the end of this one.
