Gridiron Great Top 11 (Week 14)
The Niners have risen to the top of the NFL but Dallas is lurking. In the AFC, Baltimore now stands alone as the top team. Take a look at the NFL Gridiron Great Top 11 for this week. Take a look at the NFL Gridiron Great Top 11 for this week.
Gridiron Great Top 11 (Week 14)
#11. Indianapolis Colts 7-6 (+5000/+10,000) - The Colts’ win streak came to an end in Cincinnati this week. They still are in good position to make the playoffs with a modest schedule down the stretch. Last Week’s Rank: 10th
#10. Cleveland Browns 8-5 (+1500/+4000) - Joe Flacco at quarterback, no problem. The veteran has thrown six TDs in the last few weeks and gives this team a semblance of a vertical offense. Just enough to let its defense do its thing. Last Week’s Rank: Unranked
#9. Jacksonville Jaguars 8-5 (+900/+2500) - Trevor Lawrence suited up and moved pretty well. Unfortunately, the Jags struggled against the Browns’ defense. This team doesn’t look like one that threatens come playoff time. Last Week’s Rank: 9th
#8. Buffalo Bills 7-6 (+900/+1800) - The Bills may not be in the playoffs as of this writing, but they remain the most dangerous threat to either the Ravens or Bills. Last Week’s Rank: 8th
#7. Detroit Lions 9-4 (+950/+2200) - The Lions avoid a drop only because there were so many losses to top teams this week. This is not the same defense that had this team looking balanced at the midway point and that isn’t good. Last Week’s Rank: 7th
#6. Miami Dolphins 9-4 (+350/+800) - It will be interesting to see if there is any layover from the Dolphins collapse on Monday night this week. The injuries also keep piling up for the ‘Fins, losing their starting center for the season this week. Last Week’s Rank: 3rd
#5. Kansas City Chiefs 9-4 (+300/+700) - The Chiefs wide receivers continue to sabotage this season. And Travis Kelce looks a step slower. Patrick Mahomes may finally have to win on the road in the playoffs. Last Week’s Rank: 4th
#4. Baltimore Ravens 10-3 (+250/+550) - A thrilling win over the Rams at home keeps Baltimore in the driver’s seat for home field throughout the AFC playoffs. Last Week’s Rank: 6th
#3. Philadelphia Eagles 10-3 (+330/+700) - The Eagles wrap up their extremely tough stretch of games in Seattle this week. They need a win against the banged-up Seahawks to keep Dallas at bay. Last Week’s Rank: 2nd
#2. Dallas Cowboys 10-3 (+380/+800) - The Cowboys manhandled the Eagles at home. They remain undefeated in Jerry’s House. If they can carry that over on the road, they can be very dangerous. Last Week’s Rank: 4th
#1. SF 49ers 10-3 (+120/+240) - They are healthy and thriving right now. Deebo Samuel looks better than he has in two seasons and this is simply the class team in the NFL. Last Week’s Rank: 1st
Upset Alert for Week 14: We improved to 11-7 after the Jets upset Houston at home. Two weeks in a row with winners as we head into this week’s critical slate of matchups.
#1. Denver (+4) at Detroit: The Lions are suddenly reeling while the Broncos can’t do anything wrong. Denver’s defense is a far cry from the unit that gave up 70 points earlier this season and the Lions' defense is a far cry from the unit that was in the top 10 in several categories this season. Denver could very well take this one outright and I certainly like them with four points.
