MLB Offers another new proposal

The owners have responded again with a new proposal that should at least have some reaction from the players. According to ESPN’s Karl Ravech, the owners are expected to send a proposal that includes a season lasting 70-75 games.

On Monday, the owners proposed a 76-game season that would cover up to 75% of the players prorated salaries. The players came back on Tuesday with an 89-game proposal that featured a full prorated share of salary and expanded playoffs.

Jon Heyman from the MLB Network reports that the proposal for the season would be 72 games and players would get 80% of prorated player if there’s a postseason.

If these reports are true, the owners have made changes in their proposals, including the percentage of pay, which is important in case the postseason is canceled. However, the players haven’t moved off prorated pay so there’s not a big chance they will accept
