If you are looking at betting some very early futures for 2023, I have some pretty good values, if you want to wager on something other than Super Bowl props, parlays, or the side and total.

If you are looking for a huge longshot, check out Denver with Sean Payton at the helm. Now, they actually have an adult in the room, though you have to wonder if Russell Wilson can still cook. All San Francisco needs is a decent quarterback with that defense and Christian McCaffrey. They need insurance just in case Trey Lance gets hurt and Brock Purdy is not going to be ready for 2023. Could Tom Brady unretired for a second time and join his former hometown team? Or could Aaron Rodgers, contrary to recent statements, head back to Northern California?
(from BetOnline)
San Francisco starting QB Week 1 2023
Trey Lance -225
Brock Purdy +200
Aaron Rodgers +425
Jimmy Garoppolo +1600
Tom Brady +2800
Brady has retired for the second time and says he’ll start his broadcasting career in 2024. Does that mean he could still jump in at some point next season? Sure, but it won’t likely be in San Francisco in Week 1. Brock Purdy is expected to have elbow surgery and Jimmy G. is a free agent. Is there a chance that the Niners can bring him back considering he’s 42-19 as a starter with the team? It does sound like Kyle Shanahan is against that idea, which leaves Lance and Rodgers. Lance had two surgeries on his right ankle and should recover in time to start the season. The Niners could go for Rodgers, but he will make $59 million guaranteed if he plays in 2023. Though he could re-do his deal considering most teams can’t afford him under the cap. Go with Lance.
Aaron Rodgers Next Team Week 1 (if not Green Bay)
Raiders -150
Jets +250
49ers +500
Buccaneers +1200
Panthers +1200
Titans +2000
Commanders +2500
Colts +3300
Giants +3300
Falcons +4000
Saints +4000
Texans +4000
Even if Rodgers re-does his deal, he’s going to make a ton next season. The Giants have plenty of cap room, though you would expect them to re-sign Daniel Jones. The Jets, despite not having the cap room, seem to be the team intent on getting him. They have talent on the defensive side of the ball and are improving on the offensive end. They’d have to give up a bunch of draft picks, which the Jets can do and re-work a bunch of players’ salaries.
