PITTSBURGH (-3/36.5) over Tennessee 20-16
The Steelers did it again. They found a way to be a squad with no passing game (160 yards). Kenny Pickett gutted it out with injured ribs, but this time, he had a running game to help as Jaylen Warren had 88 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards. Najee Harris added 69 rushing yards and a score. Derrick Henry added 75 yards rushing and a score for the Titans, who had rookie QB Will Levis at the helm. In his second NFL start, Levis completed 22 of 39 for 262 yards filling in for Ryan Tannehill, who was out with an ankle injury. Even if Tannehill returns, Levis has now become the starter for Tennessee.

KANSAS CITY (+1.5/51.5) over Miami 21-14
The Chiefs scored 21 points in the first half and held on to win this game in Germany thanks to one of the league’s best defenses. Patrick Mahomes had a pedestrian game with 185 yards and two TDs. Bryan Cook returned a fumble for a TD just before the half to help the Chiefs go to 7-2 overall, while Miami slipped to 6-3. That defense held Tua Tagovailoa to 21-of-34 for 193 yards and a TD. Tyreek Hill caught eight passes, but for just 62 yards in his first game against his old team. Miami was held to a season-low in points and went just 3-of-12 on third downs.
Minnesota (+3.5/38.5) over ATLANTA 31-28
Arthur Smith shaved his mustache after this loss. Maybe his job will be shaved at the end of the season. His defense allowed 217 passing yards to a rookie quarterback in Jaren Hall (5-6, 78 yards) and to a journeyman (Joshua Dobbs), who arrived from Arizona a few days earlier to replace the injured Kirk Cousins (Achilles). Dobbs played because Hall suffered a concussion in the first half. Dobbs threw for 158 yards and two TDs and rushed for 66 yards and a score. He led the team to a two-minute drill after Tyler Allgeier scored on a 5-yard TD run. Dobbs hit Brandon Powell with 20 seconds left to give the Vikes the improbable win to improve their record to 5-4. Taylor Henicke got the starter for Atlanta (4-5) and throw for 268 yards with a TD and a pick.
GREEN BAY (-4/38) over LA Rams 20-3
This was a truly ugly game as Brett Rypien replaced Matthew Stafford (thumb) and completed just 13 of 28 for 130 yards and a pick with a fumble for the Rams. Jordan Love completed 20 of 26 for 228 yards to help the Packers snap a four-game losing streak and improve to 3-5, while the Rams dropped to 3-6. The Rams produced just 187 yards of offense. Aaron Jones led the Packers with 73 yards on 20 carries with a TD.
Chicago (+10/42.5) over NEW ORLEANS 17-24
The Bears played the Saints pretty tightly, with rookie Tyson Bagent starting at quarterback again. Bagent completed 18 of 30 for 220 yards with two TDs, but also threw three picks. He also had 70 yards rushing, while D’Onta Foreman led with 83 yards on 20 carries. The Saints did not turn the ball over and they forced five. Pauslon Adebo had two picks and a fumble recovery. Despite going +5 in the turnover column, the Saints needed a Taysom Hill 3-yard TD pass to Juwan Johnson with 11:05 left to get the win and improve to 5-4. QB Derek Carr threw for 211 yards and two TDs.
CLEVELAND (-13/38) over Arizona 27-0
Here was another truly ugly game because a rookie backup quarterback was in over his head. Clayton Tune went 11 of 20 for 58 yards and two INTs as the Cardinals were shut out and fell to 1-8. Cleveland improved to 5-3 and had their first shutout since 2007. Deshaun Watson was back at quarterback and completed 19 of 30 for 219 yards and a TD. Amari Cooper caught five passes for 139 yards, including long passes of 59 yards and 49 yards. Arizona finished with 58 total yards on 48 plays and converted just 1 of 12 third downs.
Washington (+2.5/40.5) over NEW ENGLAND 20-17
So Washington trades away defensive ends Chase Young (SF) and Montez Sweat (CHI) and they still handle the Patriots offense, especially in the second half. Sam Howell had an uneven game for the Commanders, throwing for 308 yards, but also had an interception in the end zone. He was still better than Mac Jones, who threw for 220 yards on 24-of-44 passing. Rhamondre Stevenson led New England (2-7) with nine carries for 87 yards and a score. The Patriots’ defense was terrible on third downs, allowing Washington (4-5) to go 9-of-17.
BALTIMORE (-6.5/44) over Seattle 37-3
Another dominant performance for the Ravens at home. This time, it was Seattle who got pummeled. Rookie running back Keaton Mitchell ran for 138 yards and a TD in his first full action, while Gus Edwards added 52 yards and two TDs. Lamar Jackso, who is now 18-1 against the NFC, completed 21 of 26 for 187 yards and 60 rushing yards in about three quarters. The Seahawks were held to just 151 yards of total offense and six first downs. Seattle ran 15 times for just 28 yards.
Tampa Bay (+2.5/39.5) over HOUSTON 37-39
Houston improved to 4-4 thanks to 470 yards from rookie QB C.J. Stroud. He found rookie Tank Dell for a 15-yard TD pass with six seconds left to give the Texans the win. Baker Mayfield had just given the Bucs the lead when he hit Cade Otton for his second TD catch of the day. Yet the Bucs, who still covered, managed to fall to 3-5 because they couldn’t stop Stroud, who set a rookie record for yards in a game that was held by Marc Bulger with 453 in 2002. Tampa Bay wide out Mike Evans caught four passes for 87 yards before leaving late in the game with an injury.
Indianapolis (-1.5/45.5) over CAROLINA 27-13
While one rookie quarterback (Stroud) is ascending, another is having a rough first season. Byce Young threw three interceptions, including two that were returned for a touchdown. Carolina, after winning their first game, fell to 1-7. The Colts had lost three straight before this game, but improved to 4-5 and beat former head coach Frank Reich, who was fired by Indy a year ago. Kenny Moore II led the Colts with two interceptions for a touchdown, while QB Gardner Minshew threw for 127 yards and a TD. The Colts won this game despite recording 298 yards of offense.
LAS VEGAS (-1/38.5) over NY Giants 30-6
What a disaster for quarterbacks in New York (or New Jersey). The Giants lost Tyrod Taylor last week and this week, it was starter Daniel Jones, who injured his knee (ACL) early in the second quarter. That means Tommy DeVito time and he was picked off twice while throwing for 175 yards and his first career TD pass. Former NY Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce led the Raiders to their first win (4-5) after Josh McDaniels was fired earlier in the week. The Raiders set a new season high for points scored in the first half. Rookie QB Aidan O’Connell completed 16 of 25 for 209 yards in his second starting taking over for veteran Jimmy Garoppolo.
PHILADELPHIA (-3/46.5) over Dallas 28-23
The game of the day lived up to its billing. Maybe the Chiefs/Dolphins game would have been as good had it been played in the U.S. Jalen Hurts passe for two TDs and ran for one with 207 yards passing. The Eagles improved to 8-1 despite their constant issues against the pass. Dak Prescott completed 29 of 44 for 374 yards and three TDs. CeeDee Lamb had a monster game with 11 catches for 191 yards for Dallas. But the Cowboys fell to 5-3 as Lam was hit at the Philly four-yard line as time expired and he lost a fumble.
CINCINNATI (-1.5/50.5) over Buffalo 24-18
Another strong game on a Sunday night, Joe Burrow was magnificent as he completed 31 of 44 for 348 yards and two TDs to lead the Bengals to a 5-3 record. Cincy controlled this game throughout though Josh Allen hit Stefon Diggs for a 17-yard TD with a two-point conversion with 3:32 left in the game to cut the deficit to six. Tee Higgins had a big game for the Bengals with eight catches for 110 yards. Josh Allen completed 26 of 38 for 258 yards with a pick for the Bills, who fell to 5-4. Allen also ran for 44 yards and a TD.

LA Chargers (-3.5./40.5) over NY JETS 27-6
Can a game be over in the first two minutes? When rookie Derius Davis scored on an 87-yard punt return for a TD, that was all the Chargers needed to beat the punchless Jets (4-4). Zach Wilson competed 33 of 49 for 263 yards, but Wilson also lost two fumbles and WR Garrett Wilson lost another as well. Justin Herbert completed 16 of 30 for 136 yards, while getting sacked five times. The yards total for Herbert was the lowest of his career. The Chargers produced just 191 yards of offense, while the Jets had 270.
