Sinners vs. GamerLegion, Preview & Prediction - Free 10/21 CS:GO

The bookies believe Sinners will have no problems beating GamerLegion in the Lower semis at the DreamHack Open November 2021 Closed Qualifier and get a step closer to the main event. The rivals are facing on Thursday, and the winner of this duel will play against a better team from the clash between SKADE and forZe.

Sinners Team Stats and Latest Results

Sinners are playing in a hot and cold form lately, and low odds on them to win here is not something that will attract serious bettors. Still, they are a higher-ranked team, compared to GamerLegion, so we can understand the odds. The Czechs opened this tournament with a 2-0 defeat to SKADE but responded with a 2-0 victory over Entropiq.

In the last three months, Sinners have been excellent on Ancient (87.5% win rate) and played well on Overpass (62.5%), while they were below average only on Vertigo (45.5%). Coach Republic Tomáš 'Tomkeejs' Tomka will count on his usual five starters to take on GamerLegion. oskar (1.18 rating), ZEDKO (1.01), beastik (0.94), SHOCK (1.06), and NEOFRAG (1.16) will play on Thursday.

GamerLegion Team Stats and Latest Results

GamerLegion is not playing in its best form recently as they lost four of the last five games, including the most recent one to fnatic, the loss that forced them to go down to the Lower bracket at the DreamHack Open November 2021 Closed Qualifier. Prior to that defeat, GamerLegion managed to beat forZe after coming from behind, but now will have a mountain to climb against Sinners.

GamerLegion was above average only on Mirage (61.1%) and Ancient (60.0%), while they mightily struggled on Nuke, winning just 27.3% of appearances. Their starting lineup remains unchanged as Zero (0.98), RuStY (1.03), iM (1.15), era (1.05), and isak (1.00) are ready to face Sinners.

Sinners vs. GamerLegion H2H Record

It’s going to be the third-ever meeting between these teams. Both were played in 2021; GamerLegion won the first one at the Snow Sweet Snow 1 Regionals in January, while Sinners were better at the ESEA Premier Season 37 Europe in June.

Sinners vs. GamerLegion Betting Preview

GamerLegion displayed fine performances at this tournament in two games against forZe and fnatic. Both matches produced a maximum of three maps, and I don’t think the underdogs will give up without a fight in this one. I am not brave enough to back them to actually get the win, but I am pretty sure they will get at least a map. On the other side, I seriously doubt the dogs will secure a 2-0 victory as Sinners must win a minimum of one map. That’s why my additional pick will be Over 2.5 maps, which occurred in both GamerLegion’s games at this tournament.

The Pick: GamerLegion Map Handicap +1.5 (-156 @GGBET)

Additional Pick: Over 2.5 maps (+111 @GGBET)
