UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs Procházka - 5/1/21 - Card Preview
We are back in Vegas at the Apex center this Saturday, May 1st for UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs Procházka. Not going to lie, it's going to be a bit disappointing watching this card with no fans after UFC 261 this past weekend. The energy, the fights, the finishes were all incredible (although Weidman's leg would disagree, that was gruesome)!
That being said, the main card on this lineup is going to be low key fire. For those of you who don't know Jiří Procházka, tune in cause you're in for a treat. He has 24 knockouts on his record and made his octagon debut last July against number 7 ranked Volkan Oezdemir. You would think that sort of debut matchup would give a fighter pause, but the Czech fighter was ridiculously calm in there and eventually scored the knockout in the second round. It will be interesting to see if Reyes's technical boxing can exploit the low hands and gamesmanship of Procházka. High likelyhood someone is going to sleep here.
Ten year UFC veteran, Cub Swanson takes on surging kickboxing standout, Giga Chikadze in the co main event. Chikadze is undefeated in the UFC and is in a rare group of fighters to have a technique named after them - The Giga Kick. Watch for this liver shot this weekend.
