Virtus.pro vs. Gen.G, Preview & Prediction - Free 11/15 CS:GO

The Group C upper bracket final of the Flashpoint 2 is giving us a duel between massive favorite Virtus.pro and Gen.G when they face on Sunday. The winner of this clash will progress to the Grand final, while the loser will go down to the Consolidation final where they will meet a better side from the tilt between Cloud9 and OG.

Virtus.pro Team Stats and Latest Results

After winning the IEM New York 2020 CIS with a Grand final victory over Nemiga, Virtus.pro, who also got $20,000 and 2500 RMR Points for their efforts, they failed to reach the final stages at the Betway Nine to Five 5 following a shocking loss to K23. They showed better displays at the LOOT.BET Season 8 and reached the Grand final, only to lose to Gambit despite winning the opening map. Virtus.pro won 23 of the previous 25 matches.

When it comes to the maps in the last three months, Virtus.pro was invincible on Train (played six times) and displayed strong performances on Dust2 (78.9% win rate), Mirage (77.7%), and Inferno (76.5%), while their “weakest” displays came on Vertigo (71.4%). Virtus.pro assembled its squad in September 2020 and appeared on 65 maps with a record of 51 wins and 14 losses. The lineup is made of SANJI (1.02 rating), buster (1.16), qikert (1.14), Jame (1.22), and YEKINDAR (1.25).

Gen.G Team Stats and Latest Results

Gen.G is still in the top 30 teams in the CS:GO rankings despite not playing a lot of games in the last three months. They finished in 6th position at the ESL Pro League Season 12 North America and won $15,500 in return. Following a break of almost two months, Gen.G returned with a 2-0 victory over BIG in the opening round of this tournament. Gen.G lost six of the last ten games.

In the previous three months, Gen.G was decent on Dust2 (66.7%) and Nuke (60.0%), while they showed disappointing displays on Inferno (20.0%), Train (33.3%), and Mirage (33.3%). At the moment, we know Gen.G will appear with a new lineup, but we don’t know all five members of the team. Current team members known to us are BnTeT (1.08), automatic (0.99), and koosta (1.15). Xizt (0.84) and kreaz (1.19) played against OG and are with the team, but are not full members yet. However, they will likely participate on Sunday against Virtus.pro.

Virtus.pro vs. Gen.G Betting Preview

Virtus.pro is one of the hottest teams in the CS:GO tour right now and Gen.G will have a mountain to climb even to take a map out of their hands, let alone record a win. Virtus.pro dropped just five maps in the last 11 matches, but a comfortable victory over OG is quite an encouraging sign for the underdogs here. That's why I wouldn’t dare to back Virtus.pro to cover a -1.5 spread, and I am going with a straight win instead. The odds are not very attractive, but you can use this bet as a part of your parlay.
